Maine didn’t get coined “Vacationland” for no reason, and one of my very favorite places to visit is Harpswell. Harpswell is located in Mid-Coast Maine, but unique because it is made up of two peninsulas.
Lucky me, this lovely family has vacationed here two years in a row, and I got to document it both times.
Harpswell has it all! Good food, Lands End, Giant Stairs, Sweet Stop, Hikes, and Beaches. There is always a cool breeze, and the ocean.
What is your favorite place in Harpswell, Maine?
It is pretty much impossible to take a bad picture of this family. Combine that with Mackworth Island’s BEAUTIFUL mud flats and this shoot is one of my favorites I have done here in Maine. I love it when families get adventurous and don’t worry about getting dirty! We are able to create some really fun images of them being together. It just makes my heart so happy. Thank L Family, for driving up the coast to Portland, and for trusting me with your memories again! ❤
One of my biggest joys is getting to photograph a family as they grow. The P family came to me last fall for family photos at Gilsland Farm in Falmouth, and returned to me last week for photos of their newest addition! Baby E came along and made Mr. O a big brother. Their beautiful home is filled with books, art, and lots of love (as you can see.) Remember being in the thick of it? New baby, toddler, exhaustion? They make it look easy.

In-home newborn sessions will never get old to me, and my clients will all tell you how easy they are! This sweet boy may have been my easiest baby to date. Not a single fuss the entire time we were there. Why? Besides him being an amazing baby, he was in the relaxed comfort of his own nursery, with a relaxed mom, and stress free dad. If you are considering a newborn session, these are such a wonderful option for you!
