I have been largely quiet this year on the blog. It has just felt inappropriate to post photos and cutesy comments into the universe during a pandemic. This pandemic has made my job feel so small.
But as the year comes to an end there are a few things that I want to say.
First, I am more thankful now than ever for this business. Like so many small businesses we took a hit this year, but we are surviving! Every shoot I have booked has reminded me that my clients are THE BEST, and I am grateful to have a job that I love. So THANK YOU.
Second, maybe I was wrong about feeling small. For me, all this time home has shown me that slowing down isn’t a bad thing. Maybe the focus of family was something I should have been highlighting ALL YEAR. And yes, the world feels stressful and crazy but finding these happy moments with the ones I love feels even better because of that. Now more than ever I value these memories.
So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope it is better for us all. But I hope we find ways to treasure these last few days of 2020 because there IS so much to treasure.
Love this picture! Your words are so very true! Cheers to a wonderful 2021 ❤️
