I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but summer is officially HALF WAY OVER. School 2018/2019 will be here before you know it. But here is the thing, Mom and Dad, our summer vacations are limited. The time to make summer memories is NOW.
Here is a list of things to do here in Midcoast Maine for the rest of the summer:
8/5 The Seadogs will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the movie The Sandlot. Prior to the game fans will be able to play catch on the field 10:00-11:15 AM.
8/6- 8/7 The Circus Smirkus is coming to Freeport! Family Fun at it’s finest.
8/7-8/12 Topsham Fair!
8/13 Stay up late or wake up early, and watch this amazing show in the sky. Meteors!
8/17- (If you are expecting) Check out this workshop to prep for baby!
8/17-8/19 Lewiston Balloon Festival.
Visit Reid State Park. My favorite thing about this place is there is so much drift wood. The kids and I build little houses on the beach. #photoop
Rent a paddle board at Paddle Maine and put it in Stover’s Cove.
Plan lighthouse picnics!
Make tie dye t-shirts with your family! This kit is the best one I have used yet.
Go to Popham. Like now. The weather isn’t going to stay good for long.
Visit the Giant Stairs, and then the Island Candy on your way back.
Plan your fall photo with Ashley Langtry Photography! (See what I did there?)
Ride bikes, walk your dog, play in your sprinkler, have a water balloon fight, BE OUTSIDE! Also, take advantage of your library! Seriously. You need to relax with a book.
Enjoy your August, Maine-ahs.
