Today I planned this boys 10th birthday party. I can’t stop dwelling on the cliche, “it goes fast.” How? How did we get here already?
Of all the wonderful traits this kid has, I am most proud of just how kind he is. He is literally the nicest person I have ever met.
The best ten years of my life started when he made me a mama.

I love big babies.
I had a big baby too.
Ten pounds.

When my kids were little, my best memories with them were at home. Reading books, bath time, playing in bed.
As a photographer I find the my clients find loads of value in their documentary photos. Of course we all want those epic photos on the beach, but the real memories are made here.
I know I am corny, but I LOVE making resolutions. A symbolic fresh start is something we all need, am I right?
This year I have two resolutions. The first is to follow the Four Agreements. Are you familiar with them?
-Be impeccable with your word.
-Don’t make assumptions.
-Don’t take anything personally.
-Always do your best.
I love these rules to live by, and they are so emotionally freeing.
My other resolution is to do a better job of planning ahead. As they say, good intentions are very perishable things. How many times have I planned on getting that birthday card in the mail, that appointment made, that work done early?
