Happy New Year!

I know I am corny, but I LOVE making resolutions.  A symbolic fresh start is something we all need, am I right?

This year I have two resolutions.  The first is to follow the Four Agreements. Are you familiar with them?

-Be impeccable with your word.

-Don’t make assumptions.

-Don’t take anything personally.

-Always do your best.

I love these rules to live by, and they are so emotionally freeing.

My other resolution is to do a better job of planning ahead.  As they say, good intentions are very perishable things.  How many times have I planned on getting that birthday card in the mail, that appointment made, that work done early?

On this cold COLD day, I am thinking back to warmer Maine days.  End of summer at Lands End Beach.  Le sighhhhhh.
This session was just a model call, to get me used to photographing in a new location.  Little did I know that this family would be so drop-dead-gorgeous and incredibly easy to photograph.  I love every.single.picture. from this session, and was thrilled to offer them a huge gallery.  Mom was expecting a new addition to the family, and I think this was the perfect way to document their changing family.

I just love shooting at the beach. Lands End is really the perfect spot for quick, stress free family photos.

I know, I know, I KNOW, it is past Christmas.  And I KNOW it is FREEZING COLD. But due to the weather we have had to reschedule our visit twice (thank you Boothbay Botanical Gardens for allowing tickets transfer at any time.)
