When I saw this beautiful garden center, I knew I needed to take pictures here. Sweet Baby R and her gorgeous mama stole the show with their glowing smiles though! This little gem in Falmouth is a place you must stop in and see. Their greenhouses are amazing, and their gift shop is even better.

I was not prepared for this. I received a message saying that the whole family was coming to Maine to for a family vacation, and they wanted to schedule group photos. What I didn’t know, was every single one of them was going to be insanely adorable, and they whole group was going to be so.much.fun.
They had a beautiful rental property in Boothbay Harbor, and willingly handed over control to me in so far as picking locations for their images. PERFECT. Their only request was that at the very end, I photograph the kids playing in the water, so that the children could remember their family photos as fun for them too.
The results were that EVERYONE had fun. I worked as quickly as I could, because keeping five small children happy while giving commands is a tough gig. We stopped intermittently to play ‘ring around the rosy’ and hold races. They had no idea I was really just photographing them the whole time. Each individual family unit had their own mini session plus portraits of their children. The entire group had several shots to choose from, not to mention Grandma Pics. Plus loads of fun photos of the cousins playing together. Getting the opportunity to deliver memories like this, is what makes my job such a joy.

Two years in a row now, I have donated sessions to the Junior League of Portland. And two years now, a family with a newborn won the sessions! It is obviously kismet.
The luck doesn’t stop there, though. This sweet baby boy was so incredibly asleep, that the entire session took about twenty minutes to photograph.
It was basically magic.
And can we talk about how stinking cute this family is? Look out Portland, we have officially upped the cuteness bar with this newborn baby!
