Hawaii has brought me a lot of good things, but one of my favorites is how much I have grown as a photographer. Specializing in Newborn Photography makes me so happy, and preserving these memories for families is seriously THE BEST.

The L Family
The world has a strange way of working in circles. 25 years ago, 6,000 miles away I knew this woman. We were in Kindergarden then. We got to cross paths again here in Hawaii, and I got to meet her husband, little man, her silly daughter, and photograph her newborn boy. Reconnecting with her was the most fun ever, and the funny thing about old friends, it’s just so easy to talk to them. Before she left island, we squeezed in this family session, and maybe I am partial to it for personal reasons, but it is one of my favorites.

Strange things have been happening around here lately. Time is flying and Little People are growing into Not As Little As They Used To Be People. It is crazy. It seems like such a cliche, “it goes so fast.” But look. Here I am. Six years after I started this little scrap book/blog, still in awe at how fast time is moving, still loving every little day with these tiny humans.
You know how you look back to days when you are younger and think “those were the days?” Since the day my kids were born, I have savored every minute of them. Do you know how lucky it is to know you are having the time of your life, while you are actually having the time of your life?

Saying goodbye to this family is just the pits. Ever have a friend who just “gets” you? She understood my awkwardness, and appreciated it! In such a short time, she really knew my heart. I can not wait until this crazy military life lets us cross paths again. A Hui Hou!
