  • In Home Newborn Photography | The P Family | Ashley Langtry

    One of my biggest joys is getting to photograph a family as they grow.  The P family came to me last fall for family photos at Gilsland Farm in Falmouth, and returned to me last week for photos of their newest addition!  Baby E came along and made Mr. O a big brother.  Their beautiful home is filled with books, art, and lots of love (as you can see.)  Remember being in the thick of it?  New baby, toddler, exhaustion?  They make it look easy.

  • Five Minute Minis | Fundraiser for Aaliyah

    Maine, Listen up! Have you heard the story of Little Aaliyah?  She is undergoing treatment for Neuroblastic Cancer, and her family needs our support.

    On July 22nd, I am teaming up with Rocky Ridge Orchard to offer 5 Minute Minis.  You will be surprised in the memories we can capture in five minutes! This is completely BY DONATION. All proceeds will go to Aaliyah’s parents.

  • Summer!

    This week I decided to put down my camera (hence the cell phone pics) and just BREATHE!  Since school let out on Friday we have had a summer party, Strawberry picking, a library date, and a playdate.  FREEDOM NEVER FELT SO GOOD.  I am learning, this is the stuff Maine-ahs live for.  Those hard winters, make this time of year even more sweet.

    Cute ways to capture the relationship between father and child.

    A dad has such a special bond with his children and it started the very first moment he met them. If you’re looking to setup a daddy and me photo session with your photographer in order to capture this wonderful bond, below are a few ideas for perfectly capturing these memories.

     

    Playtime. If there’s anything that dad’s do better than most, it’s playing games and having fun with their children. If they love being outside, capture them playing on the swing or enjoying a game of hide and seek. If they would prefer to be indoors, let them build a puzzle together or play with their favorite toys.

    Snuggle up and relax. Get out a few blankets and books and have dad read to them on the floor or on a couch.IMG_8593

    Get creative. Whether it’s making waffles in the kitchen or painting their next work of art, having the kids get creative with dad makes for some really memorable shots.

    2:365Hugs and kisses. This is a great one for young children who love nothing more than to shower their dads with hugs and kisses. While this is a simple idea, it can make for some of the best photos.

    ALP_7903Take a stroll. Find a pretty location such as a lake or a park where father and child can take a walk. Capture them walking hand in hand or have your child sit on dad’s shoulders.
